Explore Sai Kung

September 2009 we celebrated the 4th anniversary of Explore Sai Kung Magazine and the website turned five.

The Explore Website was founded in 2004 to provide a common point for access to information and discussion on the natural & cultural highlights as well as business products and services of Sai Kung.

For both residents of the area and tourists (local and foreign), it is intended to show that the Sai Kung District in the northeast New Territories of Hong Kong provides a great deal more than is portrayed in the moniker, "Back Garden of Hong Kong", given to it by the Hong Kong Tourist Board.

For Residents
ESK provides vital information on their community: its history, its treasures as well as day to day life, opportunities and issues affecting the sustainability of the district.

For Tourists and Travellers
ESK focuses on the Sai Kung district as a unique, natural, peaceful, and opportunity-filled haven from the high-speed, high-energy pace of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon.

For Local Businesses
ESK provides a virtual chamber of commerce - a means to promote their products and services, both within and amongst the communtiy and to those who venture from other parts of HK and around the world into the SK district.

To find us: go to the Tin Hau Temple in Sai Kung Town and look down Main Street (to the left as you are facing the temple).  You'll see Cindy Flowers just down the street - turn left at that street (Tak Lung Back Street) and come down just a few doors to our bright yellow patio.
