Kenny Wong settled into running the Shun Kee City Houseware shop – known as Harrod's to many – about 12 years ago. The easygoing manner of this Sai Kung native may be what's made the business his grandfather started half a century ago a success. How does he do it? No secret, just stay happy yourself, he says, and then everyone around you will be happy.
Kenny's fame stretches as far as Japan and France, where magazines describe him as the person to go to for tourism advice. This resulted from advising some Japanese tourists directed to him from the Sai Kung government offices.
His idea of a good day off is a walk in the mountains with only clear skies and wild animals as company.
Likes about SK: The relaxed and helpful people. There's no monster buildings destroying his view of the clear skies
Dislikes about SK: The fact that new buildings going up here are getting taller. He fears that the peace and quiet will disappear.
