Sai Kung Sketches
Thomas Tsang

...an N.T. boy highlighting the arts

Thomas Tsang opened up private practise in Sai Kung in 1993 after more than 10 years as a government “land executive” in Sai Kung and Tai Po. He was involved in such local projects as harbour reclamation, construction of HKUST and Tseung Kwan O’s first stage of development. Thomas was the first to recommend compensation for residents affected by development (whether from typhoon shelter reclamation or tunnel construction). On the 5th Anniversary of the Handover, he showed his cultural side by spearheading the “Hidden Arts of SK” exhibition.

Loves about SK:

The rural, green environment, affording opportunities for outdoor pursuits such as fishing and mountaineering suits his character.

Hates about SK:

The area needs better planning. There should be a balance between no development and total development.
